i have a asus zenbook with intel iris xe graphics what are the best stream and recording settings thanks

Don't use advanced mode unless you know what you're doing.
Run the Auto-configuration Wizard (tools menu), once done apply the settings it gives. Restart OBS. Yes, do restart OBS. Now test it as is. Take a look at the pinned posts on this forum for troubleshooting issues that may appear.

if i use simple setting it crashes on me if i adjust the bitrate during streaming using hardware encoder but ok if i use it on simple but software encoder but people say not to use the software encoder

yes i have done all that but nothing answers why if i use hardwhere encoder it crashes when i use software its fine the wizard sets it to hardware so it crashes
